We went on a Monday around lunchtime, close to their closing time, and they were still very welcoming and friendly, helping us choose our dishes with patience. The music was pleasant and not too loud, and parking was easy to find. I ordered the Soy Tonkotsu Ramen and my husband had the Yokohama Eak Ramen — both were absolutely delicious. The broth was rich and flavorful, and the pork was tender, melt-in-your-mouth soft, and not fatty at all. I’m definitely coming back to try more options. Highly recommend it!
Simply delicious! Lots of food options and great quality food. Loved the salad and beef bbq, kids had ramen which tasted much better than from another restaurant two days ago. Such a treat after a swim session.
Excellent spot for some delicious Japanese food. Huge selection of mix and match lunch specials - amazing food at such a good price. Enjoyed the yakisoba, chicken katsu, ramen, karaage & gyoza. Will definitely be back! Was veryyyyy busy at lunch, but we felt the wait was quite short for how busy they were. Just be prepared to wait a few minutes for your meal during peak times.
Must try the Jiro Ramen Pork was tender with crunchy veggies, rich broth & thick noodle really good combination in this cold weather..

Best ramen in QLD! I've eaten ramen for years and have tried many in QLD, and this one is the best I've ever tried, thankfully found out about this from a Japanese friend, and it didn't disappoint. The only other place that came close is RaRa Ramen in Burleigh, but that one closed down a few years ago. The ramen is so distinct and flavorful - I recommend the soy tonkotsu, Jiro ramen (if on an empty stomach), or the Yokohama ramen
This is the only Jiro-style ramen spot I found on the Gold Coast, and it was a total gem! The veggie portion was massive and super satisfying, and those thick noodles hit the spot—super chewy and addictive. My only tiny wish is that the chashu could have a bit more intense grilled flavor. The triple combo set was fantastic, perfect for someone with a smaller appetite who still wants to try multiple meals at once. I'll definitely pop up next time to try more options!
Food here is absolutely INCREDIBLE! And good value for money! I always think I’m going to try something new but I always go back to the Chilli Coriander Ramen, Vegetable Tempura and the Deep Fried Prawn Gyoza’s! They are just too good to try anything else! Loved our experience at JFX. The Waygu is divine, with the option to cook your own fresh (a fun and easy experience). The staff were lovely and effecient. Each side was delicious in its own right. A good atmosphere in Southport 🌸
The food here is fantastic. They have a "try 3 different things" plate that is only $20. We tried the spicy ramen, regular creamy one, karage chicken, raw salmon sashimi, and raw fish eggs on rice. Everything was fresh and delicious. My only criticism was the portions are pretty small, so if your a bloke you have to order an additional dish. The beer on-tap is really nice too That being said, the size of the other ramens bowls for full-size and full pay looked gigantic, so I would opt for one of them if youre hungry. Overall I really enjoyed and loved the food though. Plus the staff are really friendly.
